Factory sketch

So here is a quick study of a factory I wanted to make. It's just a sketch but will later be a finished piece after I finish messing with Sketchup. I won't give away what the factory is producing until I do the final. Let's just say the inspiration came from a Flight of the Concords song.

Desert quick study

So, I did a quick study of a composition. I just wanted do a quick color study that really caught the heat of the desert. I've been doing some design work and I hope to post that up next. It may not happen in the next few days because I'm working in a new program, so it might take a few days to get used to. Until next time....

So, I  had a busy week - full of unpacking and dog sitting, so hopefully I'll be able to post more this week. Anyway, here is another quick color comp. I used the wet media brushes again and playing more with the texture tool. Until next post....

Having fun

So, here I just did a quick character sketch and then painted it in photoshop. A friend asked me to give some information on how I painted it (what brushes I used). Lately I've been messing around with the wet media brushes. They have an automatic texture, then I play with the scattering, shape dynamics, and textures on the brush tool. Those give you a variety of textures and are extremely useful for a quick texture.I used it here for a more sketchy look- which I'm really into more right now. You can render and nitpick forever but a loose painting just adds life to things. Until next time....

Again, I'm just playing with brushes not really attempting a "finish" here. If I do get more of a final here I'll definitely post it but for now this is where it is....

Okay, I'm playing around with brushes in photoshop here. It's an incomplete painting but I just wanted to get an idea down. Anyway, if I finish this one I'll put the "final" up. 

Quick sketch

So, I decided to start a blog mainly so I can produce work everyday and hopefully post it every few days. Anyway, here's my first post. Here I'm just messing around with a character and a quick value study. I wasn't going for perfection, just getting a quick sketch on paper. Until next time....
